My dog Roni, who is now gone to the rainbow bridge, was plagued by allergies his entire life. I tried any number of remedies from natural to medical but yet he still had issues. He would lick his paws incessantly.
When he was about 10 or 11 years old, the vet said he was wearing down the pads from his constant licking. I could tell this was true because walking on the pavement was becoming more and more of a challenge for him.
In addition to all of the remedies, I also prayed for him constantly. My prayer was that God would heal him of his allergies. I prayed that God would reveal to me if there was anything I was doing that was contributing to his allergies or if there were something I was not doing that would be helpful for him. It’s always amazing to me how God will answer a prayer especially when He doesn’t do it in the way that we have been asking. But yet He answers.
God didn’t heal Roni’s allergies. He didn’t heal his paws. Rather he re-paved our street that he walked every day. Astounding! Even though his pads were somewhat compromised from the licking, he was able to travel on a newly paved road without issue. God answered in a totally unexpected way. He didn’t change my dog; He changed that which upon he had to travel. All glory be to God for his compassion towards all he has made!!
