I don’t know about you, but I’m always losing things. I put them down in one room and then I can’t remember where I put them.

My husband and I have a running list on the refrigerator which is headed by a petition: “Lord please help us find.!”As we misplace things, we write what is lost and the date on the list. We trust in God with the items on the list, because we have been so, so blessed to find all the items we have placed on it.

The other night my husband was looking for one of the medications that he had called in for a refill. He had it in his hand while he was talking on the phone to order the refill and then did not recall where it went after that. It was not in the usual location. I asked him a number of questions about it. We tried to retrace his steps following the phone call and looked in the most obvious places. We put it on the list. This was probably early evening.

Meanwhile, I’m walking around the house and I’m asking the Lord where is the pill bottle? Lord, You know where it is and I’m trusting you will show us where to find it. Later on in the evening, my husband opened up his closet where he keeps a lot of office supplies and where he keeps a basket of receipts. There was the medicine bottle in the basket. There is a back story to tell as to why the bottle was placed in the basket but the important acknowledgment is that the Holy Spirit led him to find the bottle.

What once was lost, is now found. Amazing Grace!
